The tour starts in front of the statue of the most famous inhabitant of Salzburg: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Stroll along the Residence Square with the famous Residence fountain, the Salzburg Glockenspiel that makes music three times a day and the Residence reminding of the pompous time of the prince archbishops. See the Salzburg Cathedral, the Benedictine monastery of St. Peter, the Salzburg Festival Hall and the University of Salzburg. Visit the farmer's market at the University Square, pass by the birthplace of Mozart in the Getreidegasse and enjoy fantastic views on the fortress Hohensalzburg from the Mirabell Garden.
